Logo
A logo is a visual representation of a brand or app.
When to use
- The top of the product, where the logo says which product this is.
- A place a brand needs identifying, such as a list of connected apps.
When not to use
- As a decorative flourish. A logo in the middle of content reads as an advertisement.
- Repeatedly on one screen. Once is identification, twice is noise.
- As a home link with nothing else. It works as one, but only when it is genuinely a link.
Content
What to write, and what to leave out.
- Use the product name exactly as it is written elsewhere, including its capitalisation.
- Do not add a tagline. A logo identifies, and a tagline is content.
