Avatar group
An avatar group displays a number of avatars grouped together in a stack or grid.
When to use
- Several people attached to one thing, such as the watchers on an issue or the members of a team.
- A count of people where the individuals matter less than the fact that there are several.
- A dense row where names would not fit but presence still matters.
When not to use
- One person, where a single avatar and their name is clearer.
- A list people need to read. Names in a list beat faces in a stack.
- Where the order implies something it does not. A stack looks ranked even when it is not.

Do not show everyone. Past a handful the faces stop being distinguishable and the row just gets longer.
